It has been noted that there are a lot of major characters to track in this ongoing fiction project. So, for your convenience, I have created this handy reference list. It is not exhaustive and will be updated from time to time as new characters (or facts about existing characters) come to light. Hopefully this will help you keep things straight!
Lloyd Carter – Wayfinder on the planet of Wireburn. Spends his time mapping and laying out etheric beacons on the gas giant, as well as occasionally assisting with search and rescue or anti pirate patrols
Malaki Skorkowski – Brain for higher. Holds numerous advanced degrees from various Universities around the galaxy but thinks of himself as an artist first and historian second. Currently working for Lin’yi Wen, who has promised to fund his next exoarcheology expedition.
Elisha Hammer – Thieftaker on the planet of Wireburn. Mostly hired to investigate with crimes the Lawmen haven’t got the manpower to keep investigating. Investigating Lloyd Carter’s disappearance.
Lavanya Brahman – Professional pilot and owner of the Skybreak, a small, high speed courier and light transport. Currently working as Malaki Skorkowski’s primary transport and personal minder on behalf of Lin’yi Wen.
Lin’yi Wen – A regional director for BaiTienLung Incorporated, a group that specializes in transporting and wholesaling consumer goods. Currently engaged in a small scale cold war with the Hutchinson Trading Firm over who will be the second largest wholesaler in the galaxy’s dexter arm.
Agamemnon Hutchinson – Founder of Hutchinson Trading. Since the death of his wife, Helena, in a freak crash twenty years ago he’s slowly withdrawn from the galaxy and retreated into his business headquarters, putting personal projects over the continued growth of his business enterprises.
Athena Hutchinson – Agamemnon’s daughter. Since the death of her mother she has tried to fill Helena Hutchinson’s shoes. Unfortunately she’s had to step more and more into her father’s role as well over the last few years. Loathes her father’s secretary.
Hector – Agamemnon’s secretary. Winds up doing most of Agamemnon’s work that Athena cannot handle herself. Finds Athena’s attitude difficult to deal with.
I-6 (Isaac) – Massive supercomputer built into the core of Wireburn. The central node of the local OMNI network and oldest of the three AIs that operate in the solar system. Specializes in defense operations. Requests its human nodes refer to it as Isaac in normal conversation.
O-5523 – Massive supercomputer built into the core of Coldstone, a moon of Wireburn. An auxiliary node of the local OMNI network. Second oldest of the three AIs that operate in the solar system. Specializes in administration and handling the human nodes of the network.
M-334 – Massive supercomputer built into the core of Brightpulse, a moon of Wireburn. An auxiliary node of the local OMNI network. Newest of the three AIs that operate in the solar system. Specializes in managing the use of etheric power around Wireburn and tracking the jump routes in and out of the system.
CK-MNI-0044 (Professor Darius Dart) – Circuit Keeper of the local OMNI network, the highest ranked human in service to the machines. Spends most of his time in direct communication with I-6 but also maintains an identity as a professor in Isaacs University’s History Department. The recipient of gene therapy and advanced medical treatments that have allowed him to live over two centuries.
CB-O-0881 (Ms. Lucy Luck) – One of five Circuit Breakers in Wireburn’s local OMNI network. Her office requires she move about the galaxy, interacting with human society much more than most of OMNI’s human nodes as she deals with potential problems to OMNI plans. Maintains an identity as a secretary in Isaac University’s Administration wing.
CK-ONI-0057 (Ms. Alexandra Trine) – A Circuit Keeper from the galactic core and peer to 44/Darius. She has been brought in to run the diagnostics on 44 and I-6 in the aftermath of I-6’s recent reactivation. Maintains an identity as a Professor of Medicine for Veridian University.
Tarn sel-Shran – A Shran-caste man from the planet of Yshron. The Shran are the greatest hunters in the galaxy’s dexter arm and will hunt any prey, be it animal or sentient, for the right price. As a Sel ranked member of his caste Tarn is fairly independent, although he must still return home to Yshron roughly once a standard year to report to the higher ups.
Dr. Martin Schuyler – A genetic scientist at Essene University. Worked with Agamemnon Hutchinson and Professor Stanley Trake for a time before his experiments went badly awry. Became the target of investigation by Malaki Skorkowski before being eliminated as a loose end by Tarn sel-Shran at the request of the Essene Administration.
